Absolutely, the film was a dyed in the wool comedy, from the insanity of Rick Moranis/The Key Master (brilliant performance) to Bill Murray's ladies man Venkman character. It was like Red Dwarf. Essentially a comedy, but with some intriguing pseudo-science ideas thrown in. Which was why it was so popular!
