So I’m going on holiday tomorrow.
To England.
Holiday to England when I’m English. Weird, I know, but I live in Europe these days, so going back is like visiting France when I was a kid. Everything looks new and strange and expensive. And the money is all different.
It’s certainly expensive.
Pints of shit beer are even more expensive than shit beer used to be. When I was there last summer, I got charged a fiver for a pint. Now, it’ll be £6 — maybe more.
But I don’t intend to stay sober. I’m seeing some old friends. And what you don’t say when you meet an old friend is
Oh, I’m not drinking!
That’s rude. Unacceptable. What sort of lowlife does that? Someone on Strong Antibiotics!
I’ll be drinking. Unfortunately, I’m out of dough.
A few unexpected bills have crippled me this month, so this is what we’ll do, Medium Corp.
When I get back, I’ll write four articles for free, and you can keep whatever money I earn on the pieces, or give it to charity.
