Fun piece. I live about three hours from Paris. And this weekend was the first time I've been there since I moved to France ten years ago. I've been before when I was younger, but first time since I've lived in the country. This trip, which was only for less than 30 hours, was magic. Really enjoyed it. The language is a funny thing. I'm pretty fluent now, but I could have got by fine speaking English—I'm British—which a shame I suppose.

Anyway, glad your daughter liked it.
