Great article. I live in rural France, and the Michelin system is regarded as absurd by most chefs I know. It's dated, it has nothing to do with the quality, freshness, sustainability of the product, and is generally just a way of increasing revenue. Although, that's debatable as well as you instantly have higher overheads (doesn't the sous chef want paying more). Aside from that, the "I'm angrier than you argument is true". In the recent Brexit farce (I'm British), the more angrier a Leaver was with the EU, the more support he/she seemed to garner. The "weak" minded Remainers, having a rational argument, were sounded out as being pandering to the EU. And were therefore hammered, and everyone got on the bandwagon of hammering the EU.
