I always love the lesser places. The provincal towns that aren't famous. I live near Lisieux. Small Normandy town, bombed to fuck in the war, and yet has more charm than other more famous places. Why? Because it's real. It doesn't really give a fuck. It works. The steaks are good. The cheese fine. And once a year they have a weird processsion no one is really sure why.
