I live in France and hate when I see pommes purée. It reminds me of baby food. So I go for frites.

Imagine if Richard Dreyfus sculpted with pommes purée instead of plain old mashed potatoes in Close Encounters of the Third Kind. He would have constructed the Eiffel Tower instead of the Devil’s Tower.
