I spent three months on the Los Llanos in Venezuela. On the occasional jaunt to the nearest town San Carlo we bought (I think—this was 2004) Diplomatico. We went to the liquor store to stock up as we were four drive from anywhere. I don't think it was the best Rum in the world. But it tasted good in the evening. And was better than Polar beer....
