I worked with a great Italian chef in Exeter called Pavani. He was from Genoa and was a master chef. Everything in the restaurant was from scratch, totally. Yet for breakfast he would go to the greasy spoon across the road and get a fry-up. Cheap bacon, cheap sausage, cheap eggs, fried bread, stewed tea. Said he loved it! ( I'm the same!)
