I'm reading The Magic Mountain by Thomas Mann. It's the John E Woods translation, considered the best. But I'm thinking, WHAT A JOB! As it's 700 pages (paperback) of dense German. Like translating Don Quixote, I guess.

- I live in France and act as de facto interpreter for the Expats here who don't speak French when they have builders around etc. But I can't translate on paper, as I learnt my French living and working here. Lived in Granada in my 20s. I really miss Spain. Venga!
