It all started with an elephant in a restaurant that I wrote for a competition a few days ago...

The prompt was "something is broken in a restaurant." So I thought of an elephant standing in one.

This was a variation, as I didn't want to use the same idea twice.

The ending was tricky, and I think it half worked. Not entirely convinced myself, but anyway. Enjoying writing shorts again – invigorating! Thanks as always!
