It's always good to hear someone who writes from experience. I overheard a guy in a bar say after a gig that the lead guitarist was dreadful. That guitarist was me. I was only a few feet away and as I'd had a few drinks, I said to the guy, "who do you think is dreadful." Naturally, he backtracked and said he didn't mean it, it just wasn't his stuff. No offence.

- He forgot the matter, but I didn't. It could have destroyed me, but it didn't, I just tried to be better. Maybe I was a bit shit that night- it wasn't a great gig if I remember. So I continued gigging, always striving to improve, knowing there would be harder knocks along the way if I wanted to make it. We didn't in the end, and did other things, but I always remember it!

In truth, there are very few writers (I've read) on here – me included! — who are pushing the boundaries of modern literature or journalism. But it doesn't mean, there might not be (Or aren't yet) Which is why we do it – to improve.
