I've had the Brexit debate so many times, I've just given up. Any facts you produce to literally prove Brexit hasn't (and will never work) is met with some obscure fact they read in the Daily Mail that says that "finally Britain has stopped paying out housing benefit to a Polish family who live in Warsaw." So that tiny bit of welfare fraud (which probably never happened) is justification for destroying a whole economy….

Fact is, when someone is driven by ideology alone, it's time to check out, as you said.
