Pretty scary. As a European (UK/France) where (most) taxes are divided up between the whole country for the 'common good', it seems awful. True the distribution of revenues around the country is often disproportionate. London always gets more than the North of England. Likewise, Paris to the North of France. But at least you know your pounds/Euros might end up in a new library for everyone, wherever you live.
