Thanks for your thoughts. French folk I've met simply don't talk about death, a bit like the English. It's a no-go subject. Which is weird as they are Catholic as well. Maybe 'not as' Catholic as Italians.

I, too, have led a strange life, but like you, my dad, was constant – well, actually, the constant was football, but at least there was always something to talk about. I miss that.
