That's a great story, nicely told, with a layer of history and politics for everyone involved.

It might have been interesting — and this is not a criticism - to save the fact that the man from León was your tatarabuelo until the end, or later in the piece. On the other hand, you increase the interest of the piece by including the fact early. Just a point I struggle with sometimes, when to introduce the pivot of the story.
