That's a nice story you've painted. I think that would have been a better setting than a grubby house in Notts. My other trips weren't as strong, but were outdoors, which is where you perhaps connect more with nature rather than your mind.

I did a handful of mushrooms last summer with an old friend 'for old time's sake' and walked to Laurie Lee's grave in Slad neat Stroud where he lives. Then had a pint in Woolpack - that was really pleasant.
