The followership of a publication and authors is fairly irreverent, I'm sad to say. The only stat worth considering is email subscribers. You can publish on Slackjaw with its 200,000 followers and have fewer reads (and money) than publishing on another comedy publication like MuddyUm. I had a story on Slackjaw, very excited! It bombed, I earnt $2. Whereas, a story the week after on MuddyUm earned me $100 - and not boosted.
