This is a great piece. In the UK, house prices are ludicrously expensive, and so is renting. People are busting their ass to pay the mortgage and rent. After they've filled their cars ($10 a gallon), they are left with not much. What's cheap is gadgets and meat and sugar and carbs. So they fill themselves on rubbish, and get ill.

LUCKILY, their healthcare is free. But what if it wasn't, like in the US?
