This is such a great story, and a classic one. It's weird, but those moments in your past kind of keep you going. I was once with a friend in London in a pub, and sitting there was Shaun MacGowan with some friends. My friend had actually played with another band who once supported him and the Pogues a few years previous. So he went up and said, "Hi, it's Nik from SLS, can I get you a drink."

Shaun said, "I don't know who you are, fuck off!"

My friend Nik said, "Classic Shaun, he always says that!"

I didn't take part, I just stood watching this brief exchange, but I always remember it.
