Very good points and most people would accept. All the UK supermarkets started as small shops or dairies. Indeed, ASDA which was part of Walmart, was called Associated Dairies from the town where I'm from: Leeds. However, it might be argued that in order to preserve choice, community spirit and general 'look' of a high street, small businesses should be allowed to flourish. How? Is another question!
