Very interesting. In the UK, if you could speak a European language, it was considered a badge of honour. People said, I wish I could speak French or German.

Not any more — or not as much.

Now because of Brexit and the right wing populism which is still there despite a new government, speaking a European language is laughed at, as though YOU ARE ONE OF THEM!
