You're right. The list is a long one, and I doubt it going anyway soon. My cousin works in a boarding school in Oxford, and while conditions are better, the mentality is the same.

I think it's why I've lived aboard for a lot of my adult life. France has its own fucked up class system (ignore when you hear there's no class system in France – it's rubbish, it's just different!), but I can live with it easier – switch off.
